WHYY covers the Rescue Mission of Trenton

WHYY’s David Matthau visited the Rescue Mission of Trenton to tell the story of how The Mission is taking the lead in efforts to end homelessness and give individuals in recovery a fresh start. The article shares the story of a former client and now certified peer specialist, Deshawn Spears, who completed the recovery program and now manages The Mission’s new home on West State Street.

Matthau also sat down with Rescue Mission CEO, Barrett Young, and Chief of Supportive Services, DuEwa Edwards-Dickson, who provided more insight on The Mission’s approach to recovery, its services, and its goals.
